She's a Lady

I have to say, I absolutely LOVE this dress! It is, by far the best thing I’ve ever made. When I had finished it I was instantly in love with it and didn’t want to take it off. The sign of a good project I think.

It is based on Dress 122 from Burda Style Magazine 9/2010. The pattern was really easy to follow and really well designed.

I will be making more of these in different colours! I think this dress has the sort of classic feminity that the Roland Mouret dresses have. Credit to Burda Style! This is an awesome pattern!

IMO, it’s the best Burdastyle pattern of 2010.

I like yours! Almost as much as mine ;) Good job and you’re right, it IS a great pattern. I’m making the skirt as soon as I have suitable fabric.

Just finished this dress too in black, but added a sleeve. Loved it, but had troubles with the neckline- it seemed to loose- so I am going to improvise with it before posting the finished project. This dress is so easy to make, in spite of so many parts. You did a great great job with it!

Great job. It’s gorgeous. I saw this pattern at the news agency and came back the next day to buy it and it had been replaced by the new issue! Fingers crossed burda upload this pattern. Nice work!

Thanks so much for the pattern links. Ghainskom, I’m really sorry but my big clumsy fingers on my iphone accidentally marked your post as inappriate earlier today! Not sure how to take it back. Let me know if it causes you any trouble and I’ll try and contact burda to correct my clumsy errors!

Thank you! Pardon my ignorance but I don’t know what flat felled means! I just used my twin needle to do all the seams cos it’s stretch jersey. It tells you in the pattern instructions which seams to press up and which to press down x
