shaman-style felted artwork

So far I’ve posted mostly clothes I’ve made but now I decided to post a few other things too. So this is some kind of an artwork. It’s about 1m x 1m (about 40×40inches) so it’s quite big. I got the idea of old shaman drums (like that in the picture). I felted the wool and then embroidered those pictures and attached the crochet cloth. After that I attached the whole thing to that wooden frame I made.

Material Notes

I had some wool (very dark brown and two different shades of red). I also used yarn in those emboideries and an old lace cloth. And of course those pieces of wood which I found in the forest :D And some nails too.

This is really beautiful! I love how it is attatched to the beautiful wood! So if you found that wood in the forest, does that mean you turned them into planks, too? I love woodwork.
