Gardiner, New Yo...

Sailor pant in striped cotton with multi size buttons, pocket piping & back pocket detail. I made this as a sample for a line I was trying to start – guess w/the new laws about kids clothes that won’t be happening so…sad,

Its too bad that laws made to protect us sometimes hurt us in other ways. The pants are gorgeous. Love the piping. This is one of those techniques I want learn how to do.

I would TOTALLY wear these pants if ther were an adults version- I thought that’s what they were from the thumbnail. I know that you would probably prefer to continue your children’s business though and I hope for your sake and for the sake of all the small-businesspeople making childrens items in the US that these proposed changes do not end up happening.

Thanks, everyone, yesterday was a sad day as I kind of decided not to put more money into a line I might not be able to sell. The law, and I’m still trying to figure it all out, is from The Consumer Product Safety Commission, CPSCfor US manufacturers, or anyone who makes children’s (to age 12) products, including apparel, sold in the US. It’s about new lead, and other toxins, testing laws. Google it, it affects even the smallest manufacturer, even home based. Not sure if this is the place to do it but I can post links if needed. Oh, and i think I just might try it as womens, as many friends said they like the kids stuff too…go figure :-)

Really cool pants and I would wear them. So maybe you should be thinking about a line for adults? :)

The pants rock. I’d buy them for my daughter any time! What laws are you talking about?
