Rouched Top with lurex

Added Dec 3, 2013

by Ellen Hatteland

Nedre Vats, Norway

This is a very easy top to sew, but I like the rouched front very much. I have used jersey with lurex and therefore it’s a little shiny. I can dress it up/or down and wear it to jeans or with a blazer – it depend if you are going out or at work.. It’s based on pattern #114 Burda 10/2012, and I like this top very much ;)

Your top is great! The fit is nice. I like the fabric! (My version of this one has been seam ripped, and waiting to be remade)

Yeah, I love this top – and I’m sure you like yours too :) I used a bit of the same fabric to sew on top of the seam so it should not be ripped.. Happy sewing ;)

It looks on you much better than on the model in the magazine: on you the top looks womanish and smarty and fits well. After seeing your work, I give the top some scores:-))

This is just lovely on you ellen and so seasonal, i love it. I have 2 metres of similiar knit fabric i had earmarked for a dress. I might make this top plus i could put a black bottom on the dress and use the silver for the bodice.x

I really like it too Ellen. You really do choose the best fabrics for the patterns you select. I would like to have better access to knit fabrics and make more knit clothes. I have this pattern earmarked too and now must find a nice fabric. I am off to New Zealand next week so I may find a good fabric shop there selling knits.

I do like making jersey/knit clothes – and I hope you will find some nice fabrics in New Zealand ;) Since we are living on the country side I buy a lot of my fabrics at the internet – and mostly I’m very happy with ;-)) Have a nice trip Schnui!

Thanks Ellen I will. I am going to a wedding in Queenstown, one of the most beautiful towns in the world. It reminds me of Norway too.
