San Francisco, C...

I love the look of Masty’s C Dress, so I decided to give it a try! I modified the dress a bit to lengthen the top, and I removed the sleeves.

The blue/white rose burnout fabric is from pastafajulia’s shop on Etsy

You did a wonderful job. I so love the front neckline on yours. I think that it is more elegant and tasteful. Was it easy to do this please ? Thanks.

Thank you! It’s been a while since I made this, but I don’t think it was too hard! I think I just traced the neckline a little higher than in the original pattern.

One thing I’d recommend is doing a few stitches in the middle, to keep the two panels from pulling apart or flopping down. Good luck with your dress!

Which stitch should I use for the breastband so that it remains stretchy? or is it not supposed to be stretchy? (in which case, how do I fit into it?:D)

It’s been a while, but I imagine it is a zig-zag stitch so the jersey fabric can still stretch.

Hi Smiley – the instructions are actually in the “Print Pattern at Copyshop” file. Try clicking that link to view the instructions. If that doesn’t work, let me know and I can try to email the PDF to you.

I love your version! Removing the sleeves was a great idea. I think I like it better this way…

I actually meant to have sleeves when I started, but when I added them in, they wouldn’t lay flat. They looked like I had wings on my shoulders! I think the sleeves are cute, but without them the dress is just as cute :)

Wowsa! This dress is amazing, and even though it’s a sweet print, the way you wear it makes it really sexy! Great job!
