Ron Weasley Costume

When my brother asked me to make him a costume for his school book parade I thought I was going to die – he gave me a day and a half notice, I had school the next day and the closest fabric shop was half an hour away… but alas, I made it. And he refused to take it off all day, despite the sweltering heat.
But here it is..
I made the pattern for the cloak and quickly made the tie up, then used other clothes from around the house. I had to alter the collar of the shirt, and I found a knitted vest, but it was far too hot for him to wear.
The cloak is not really lined much, just the hood and a bit on the insides. I free-machine embroidered a ‘G’ symbol, just for effect…

Material Notes

I basically just used black and maroon drill cotton, and black thread.
