My entry for the Anda MiniChallenge. I altered the pattern to be more form fitting on the top and through the waist, then flared back out to the original patterned skirt. I altered the neckline for a deeper, more v-shape and also altered the neckline to scoop a bit from the top in the back. Then once I had the pattern altered I cut out two front pieces and two back: one blue and the other in the reverse dyed (check out my How To: Reverse Tie-Dye to see what I did). Then I stitched all pieces together and cut out the little panels. From some of the scrap material I added the belt and the accents on the straps.

An old blue jersey cotton sheet





My brother Zac for taking the pictures, and BurdaStyle for the MiniChallenge – without it I would probably not ever have desired to make this particular pattern.

    (Thanks for commenting my little purses btw.) This dress is super creative and really lovely! Really cool ideas for altering the Anda pattern, it is a bit dodgy I agree lol, but this is very cute, I love the neckline.

    Beautiful – both the dress itself and you wearing it! The Anda pattern isn’t recognizable, but the dress is perfect! So well done.
