Rococo Ragdoll Marie Antoinette

Wellington, New ...

When I started sewing I made a Marie Antoinette costume for Halloween…the dress died that night but the wig lived, so after years of being lonely I thought I should make it a knew outfit.

I used the Laughing Moon Mercantile corset pattern and made a cream/off-white corset with white, flocked tulle panels and puffs. I was going to bind the edges of the corset but quite like the disheveled look.

The underwear was made from a high waist pattern base that I have used for shorts and pants, it has a keyhole on the back and the oriental satin is edged with pink stretch lace.

The wig was made on a wire base, using several packets of long wigs. I want to make a tutorial on cosplay wig making soon, so watch this space (or my blog) Promise!

I really like the dots! I’m actually sewing a pair of trousers with smaller tulle’s dots on it

Are you telling me you did the wig yourself?! Impressive. The corset looks great and the tulle puffs are awesome. Congrats

Holy wow! All of this is awesome! I saw an awesome Marie Antoinette costume two years ago and I dream of making one someday! The wig is amazing too; I don’t think the idea of making a wig like that ever crossed my mind!
