Dumont, New Jers...

Are you ready to bring your sweatshirts to a new & fancy level? Embroidery with ribbons can add a new dimension to almost any garment. I am showing a cap made from a Burda pattern sent by a friend in Russia. The sweatshirt WAS my husband’s but he never wore it so I “fixed” it! Easily resized, sweatshirts can become a fashion all their own. The bag is denim with Organza ribbon embroidery.

Material Notes

The better the quality of the sweatshirt the longer it will last! Since you will invest the hours to embroider it, be sure to get a good one.

The cap can be made from almost any material with or without a pattern. Be sure to sew several rows on the brim to give it shape. Serging, a liner and filler add shape and help hold it. A large button can add a touch at the crown.

Garment Type
Cotton, Denim, Organza, Satin, Silk

Thanks. I’ll be posting plenty of photos on facebook and hope to open an online boutique soon. I also have some plans to give classes on ribbon embroidery.
