Description

I made the blouse exactly according to the pattern with only a small alteration for narrow shoulders. I added buttonholes in the cuffs so they can be turned up and out of the way. I used French seams throughout, and Hong Kong finish for the armseye seams.
The pattern is perfectly drafted.
The style is unusual, and also comfortable to wear. I found two ways to style the neck-line – there is the knotted neckline, but it also is quite decadent with the neck left open (and a pretty bra or cami peeking out).

Material Notes

100% Silk jacquard, machine washed and dried (gently). Linen used to interface the cuffs to support the buttonholes. Bias strip of cotton/silk voile to bind the sleeve seam.
