Red jersey dress with ruffle

This is again maternity dress 132 of Burda issue 6/2010. I used the front skirt of the pleated tunic 113 from burda magazine 6/2009. I had made this compination once before in my vitro dress, which was not absolutely succesfull: the front skirt was a bit lifted up. This time I left 2cm more at the center of front piece of the skirt and I like very much the result.
I also added a ruffle at the bottom which I made githout gathering: I just cut a not so long piece for the ruffle and I simply stretched the hem and sew the ruffle on. The result is a very soft ruffling which I like very much. Plus is very easy to make:)
Instead of sew a very long and norrow fabric sash, as the pattern instuctions suggested, I just did something simpler: I cut a long piece of fabric, stetched it for a long time (tied it on my furniture for hours) until it curled at the sides and became somehow like a cylinder. So the raw edges disapeared! A knot at the end and finished!
If anyone is interested in the techniques I mentionned just tell me!!!
I hope you like it!!
