Red Arc Skirt

The arc pieces on this pattern intrigued me. I made this skirt as a toile but the arc lines were almost invisible. So I handstitched white ‘dashes’ to highlight the arc lines. I like the way the front pieces wrap around to the back. Something a ‘little different’ for a pencil skirt!

Material Notes

Red Cotton Drill from IKEA (it’s a bit stiff, wouldn’t use it again for clothing)
Charmeuse (poly) lining from a shop on Goldhawk Rd, near Goldhawk Station, London

Thanks Sewneenee – sometimes the simplest things make an ‘ok’ item into an ‘ooh, I like that’ item ;-p
