Description

This is ‘The Limited’ skirt I got at Goodwill months ago for $2. I wanted to use the great plaid to its fullest, and got some of the lines matched up on the front to the side and part of the collar…which I’m pretty happy about! I took the pattern from a former blazer and used comfy jersey knit sleeves from a sweater (also a Goodwill buy for $1.50 or so). The square shank button and blanket stitch along one side of the overlap part of the skirt were elements I very much wanted to showcase. The side panels also have exposed tulle, and ties at the empire waistline level. Lined in sherbet orange satin—so with that, the jacket is 80% recycled materials. It fits me very nicely and is somewhat inspired by Burberry’s 2010 coat line. Thanks for the challenge, it was quite enjoyable!
