A silk casual tank for vacation!! I am a novice, only one sewing class to my credit, I just bought my super fancy sewing machine and I thought I would start with something easy, so I chose Burda Style 104A. This is so simple, Burda gives it away and I loved the way it turned out. My daughter Isabelle is modeling for me in the picture.

I love the simplicity of the design and the exposed shoulders that are all the rage this summer. While I am happy with my first garment, I know that I need to work on the details, (like a straight hem line). This pattern is so forgiving and fabric so flowing that it still works even with a few errors.

Material Notes

I chose a blue floral silk and ribbon for the tie. I made a medium, but if I were to make this tank again I would shorten up the arm holes.

Thank you for the advice about shortening the armholes! I’m about to make the project and appreciate the advice.
