Printed Chiffon Kimono with Fringe!

Last time I was filming in studio I made a video on how to sew a kimono that you can watch here, and I made this one! I have been on a kimono kick lately and I have worn each one of mine that I have sewn to the beach and around town regularly. They are just so easy to wear and sew! I love the bold and colorful print of this fabric and that faux suede fringe trim is just what it needed to finish off the hem. I wish I bought more at the time so I could also fringe the sleeves.

For this kimono I used our draft-it-yourself kimono pattern from the 06/2016 issue, and as soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had to make one. If you want to make one yourself, go ahead and download the pattern then watch my video here!.

It was also a treat to get this kimono photographed in studio :) I’m sure my boyfriend Julian who regularly documents my sewing creations was glad to have a little break.

Happy Sewing!
