Prada Inspired Fur-Trimmed Skirt

This skirt was the garment for my “Pattern Play” column in Sew News Magazine that I do, and this one was for their Dec/Jan issue. The theme for this issue was Party Skirts, and after seeing the Prada 2017 Fall Read-to-Wear show, I knew I wanted use that as inspiration behind by skirt. I’m all about fashion being fun, and a little bit odd at times, so that is why I love this skirt so much! To see how I transformed a BurdaStyle skirt pattern into this style pick up the recent issue of Sew News which also includes a discount code to download the pattern I used.

I paired the skirt with a cutout turtle neck sweater I made for some coziness and contrast to the floral and fur skirt. This skirt does scream Party Skirt to me, so I think it will make an appearance at a party this holiday season.
