Halter Jumpsuit – Burdastyle 06/2015 #119B

I found a pile of this very stretchy material in a thrift store for only 3 bux, and I thought that’s ample enough to make a jumpsuit. Only the facings I had to make from other thrift store jersey scraps. Yet the stretch was difficult to control and without a serger my sewing machine ran into many problems. I simply liked the print on the jersey too much lol. It gave me difficulty when trying to match up the zig zag print as it moved around so much; the back sides don’t match up lol but I couldn’t keep track of the pattern. However its comfy and fits like a glove, considering I didn’t use woven fabric. I still inserted the zipper, a shorter vintage not-so-invisible zip, which I attached from the top of the left hand pocket upwards. The zip works quite well and I can slip into it comfortably. Of course I’m not tall like the pattern is, so I hemmed the legs up a fair bit. I like the waist on this pattern, it camouflages my problem area lol. Location: Parnell Gardens

Material Notes

4-way stretch jersey with multi-color zig-zag print & surface sheen/pattern; 4-way stretch jersey for lining in white; blue 25cm vintage metal discreet zip for left side

I couldn’t locate any bohemian style place around this city that i know of, to match my out-there print lol. I just went back to Parnell Gardens again yesterday- to catch the last of the nice weather, to pretend I’m swanning around a subtropical resort in the 60s or 70s, lolz! Am so glad I’m up to date now pic-wise, thats the last of my completed outfits so far to be photographed, yay! I’ve gotta go break for a bit.
