Peplum - Simplicity 0268

Added Apr 16, 2013

by balllisaann

Seattle, Washing...

Sleveless A top only. Princess seam bodice with a peplum. This could probably be made with any Princess seam top.

The pattern fits very well. Didn’t have to do a lot of fittings. Next time I’ll lengthen the torso (I always seem to say that).

I fully lined the inside. Thank-you Angela Kane for your tutorial on how to do a full bodice lining: http://www.burdastyle.com/techniques/angela-kane-linings.

Material Notes

I got the graduating print from Walmart for $2 per yard, their clearance section.

That is just lovely. It looks expensive. I would never have thought it was $2 yd fabric.

Thanks everyone! I almost didn’t post the project because all the other projects really blow me away.

Maybe I should buy the rest of the fabric spool at Walmart. Their clearance section has some great apparel fabrics.
