Blouse weight fine silk. Instructions mention lightweight, transparent cotton fabrics.

    Lovely blouse and you have done a great job with the ruffles! I do love looking in old magazines and try out patterns too :)

    I thought I had a lot of ruffle on the collar to gather but really, there’s only about 1.5cm per side to ruffle, then it becomes flat. I would repeat this blouse but forego the ruffle on the collar. It was worthwhile doing the overcasting on the ruffle edges to finish them.

    Loved the effect on placket and sleeves. Noticed that when I iron the placket ruffles, they won’t stay close to bodice>more of a plant leaves are closing effect. Would like to see if a seersucker fabric (poly/cotton) would change the ruffle effect.

    Buttons-4 are pale blue and 4 are pale green, happily the same tone. The extra blue one is stitched into the side seam just in case it is needed.
