One-Shouldered Designer Jumpsuit

Added Jul 12, 2017

by SeamRacer

St. Louis, Misso...

This Grecian-inspired jumpsuit was made using a stable Ponte knit and a designer pattern from the April 2017 issue of Burda Style, Pattern No. 121 by Dimitri Panagiotopoulos. I wanted something completely mix and match-able, so I actually made the top and the pants as separate pieces. Because I was using a knit, I eliminated the zipper in the top and switched the zipper to the side (rather than up the back) in the pants. I cannot say how much I love this set! It was relatively easy to sew…not so easy to fit, as it ran quite large. This is actually my “everyday Wonder Woman” outfit! Thank you! Now I guess I just need a better even tan to match the asymmetric style…he, he!

Yes do check it out…the pattern kind of is buried in the middle of the magazine and doesn’t stand out on the page in its neutral tan (so I think).

Very nice outfit! This jumpsuit is next in my list….Is it a greek church in the background?

Thanks! You’ll look great in this, too! About the church behind me, it is actually built in an early christian, Italian Romanesque style…it was the closest thing we could find to the look of an ancient civilization where I live! Here’s a page on the church, if you’re interested – http://stlouispatina.com/our-lady-of-sorrow-roman-catholic-church/

Yes, the separate pieces are very useful, especially since my outfit is in black!
