Ombre Viscose Jersey Batwing Top

This was such a quick and satisfying project to make! It’s the batwing top from Chinelo Bally’s book Freehand Fashion which I’ve had for quite some time but never tried a project from as the method of drawing directly onto you fabric using nothing but your measurements seemed so unfamiliar and daunting to me! I saw Chinelo demonstrate this top at the Knitting & Stitching Show and was so inspired I bought this amazing drapey knit from Girl Charlee right there and then to make my own. I had so much fun doing it I now can’t wait to try another one of the designs! Gorgeous top. I loved chinelo on the great British sewing bee.The fabrics gorgeous and works so well with this top. I know what you mean about failed projects. I made a dress recently using a couple of patterns. In my head it was going to be great! Well it wasn’t and I was gutted. I cut out another dress and sewed it up and it looked good so I went to bed happy. I just needed to see something good after my mess lol. I love this top on you x
