I first started the simple Obi Apron pattern (by prudencerabbit) with the intention of making it into a smart/ fun skirt. However as with the all best made plans in the world, I didn’t get to the end goal but ended up a with a happy out come.
A Obi skirt (complete with a elastic so I can run after my 3 year old and still breath) and a lovely fun classic lined skirt.

Material Notes

The is a light cotton/synthetic fabric is from the local market £1 per meter as long as you buy 5meters ( cant go wrong with that), Black lining left over from past projects and the thickest iron in interfacing I had. 7in zip though an 8in zip would have been better.

I have sewn an piece of elastic inside each tie of the belt so when it is off to has a 2 in bit that is gathered due to the elastic. However when I put it on and tie it up the elastic pulls out can still sit down with out having to constantly re-tie the belt.

I’m going to make another one and put detailed pictures on soon.
