Newspaper Waistcoat

Added Jun 17, 2015

by Ellen Hatteland

Nedre Vats, Norway

I had a bit newspaper print fabric left from my Jacket and decided to make this waistcoat/blouse. Pattern is from Burda 05/2010, and you can also make a blouse with puffed sleeves of the same pattern. I combined the print fabric with dark denim, and I think it is nice together :)

Material Notes

Denim and printed cotton.

Spring, Summer
Garment Type
Cotton, Denim

what a great pattern!-fits your tiny waist so nicely. Reminds me when I was 15 I made a pinafore of newsprint fabric -people joked I could read the paper if I was bored.

I love mine so much, you’ve inspired me to try again with this pattern and this time, to use more than scraps. But I see you’ve skipped the dreaded tab problem that gave me such a headache! XX Inkstainhttp://chanelno6.blogspot.ch/2014/05/safari-shirt-vest-burda-5-2010-115.html
