Great Yarmouth, ...

when I first saw this in a magazine, I knew I wanted to make it. And the pattern looked pretty straightforward, so I guessed I could easily sew this in one afternoon. Well, even though I made quite a few mistakes along the way, I got there in one afternoon and I am happy with the dress and love wearing it !

Material Notes

stretchy cotton, zip

thank you kisses ! The zip was sort of improvised. Like I said, I made a few mistakes along the way, one of them forgetting to add a zip at the side and because of that I couldn’t get the dress over my head. so I had to think of something and that’s where the idea for the zip came from :-))

thank you Mary ! The zip was a necessity, couldn’t fit it over my head without it. I used a pattern from a german magazine which I discovered only recently and ordered over the internet. I could copy the pattern for you and send it to you by mail if you’d like??
Otherwise have a look on the net, the magazine is DIANA MODEN. xxx

Thats a hot dress Chula. You look fabulous in it! Amazing fabric. Would never guess that was cotton. Looks like leather! Perhaps you ought to do one in leather too ;-)

Ohh Jane, I feel so flattered ! Thank you for the lovely comment ! The fabric is quite interesting, isn’t it ? It has a velvety strip running through it, you might be able to see on the last picture. What a great idea though, doing this in leather !! Thanks for the inspiration, I might just try it !!! :-))
