Description

This is a traditional fitting dirndl with apron. I am wearing it here with an old blouse I purchased from C&A in 2008. The pattern was pretty good, but of course some changes were necessary – make yourself a muslin of the bodice for sure!!! I lined the entire bodice instead of doing the suggested half lining, and changed the skirt to be pleated instead of gathered to cut down on material used and also to make it more flattering to my curves ;) I piped the armholes, neckline, and back seams. A fun project and definitely a good way to get into dirndl creation. Read all about this project and other cool German stuff at my blog, www.wunderschoen.blog <3 Kirsten
