Description

I have been wanting to make a coat but felt a little scared so decided to have a try on some left over wool fabric, trouble was I ran out of wool for front bodice so that is how I ended up with the spot fabric that I used for the lining on the outside

So the coat was not compromised on warmth I lined the inside of the front bodice with a navy fleece and it all came together really well
the pattern was easy to follow and now I feel confident to make a me sized coat for my next project

This is SO cute. I love the happy accident factor, but it looks COMPLETELY intentional. I’d wear it and I’m 25! My very favourite coat as a child was red, and it had a tartan plaid lining, which was really only visible in the hood. I always tried to find some way to show the cute lining. Your little won’t have to do crazy things to make that happen.
