Springfield, Pen...

These are the various ensembles that I made for my character, Carmen Ghia, in The Players Club of Swarthmore’s procuction of “The Producers”. The director wanted glitz and glamour… So I had to deliver!

Material Notes

Many different fabrics were used to create the many looks. Satin, brocade, velvet, animal prints, faux leather, lace and feathers. There was some beading involed along with lots of fabulous jewelry!

Thanks. The show was set in the mid-1940s, but Carmen Ghia was so outrageous that I got away with these glam looks.

HE’S HAVING A STROKE! OF GEEENIUUUSSSS! Ooooo…. These are marvelous. One of my fave musicals. And Carmen is so wonderful. You have done a supurb job. I have a feeling my son would have these on every day. I’ll show him when he gets up (in Australia, only just gone 8am). Thankyou.

I loved working on the costumes and being in the show… So, what does your son think of the costumes?

I always manage to make my own costumes for shows (and others, too). Much more interesting that way. He squeeked at the pictures. Most definately made an impression ;) He was very impressed with your patience at the beading.
