Reversible shift dress for my daughter. Denim one side and printed cotton drill the other. I appliqued the dolls to the front with machine satin stitch and hand emroidered their faces. My daughter calls them “Mum, Me and Jemima (little sister).” The other side has two denim patch pockets wih machine rick rack. The denim side also has rick rack around the edge.

Material Notes

Denim from Op shop $1.00, cotton drill left over from the rag doll I made my daughter for Christmas. Rick Rack.

Thanks, I made up the design for the dolls from a set of matryoshka doll measuring cups my sister gave me for Mothers day. It was a fun dress to make and each dolly seems to have her own “personality” beacuse of their hand stitched faces.

White ones? I love them too. I noticed on your page you have a Elna 2130 – so do I! I also have a Bernina but not a serger just a vinatge sewing machine. I have made all my projects on the Elna so far.
