I’m finally out of the funk I’ve been in for the last few weeks, I think. This is the first thing that I’ve made in months. It went so well, I think I’ll keep going.

This was an introduction to bias tape for me. I think I’m in love.

I blogged about this a little more here.

I’ve added instructions, as per request. If you have any questions or anything needs clarification let me know!

This is so great! You’re a real inventress!! I’m going to put it on my sewing list for spring ;)) As I’m so helpless with imagining three dimensional garments from layed out fabric I appreciate your work of drawing it all down! Thanks a lot. It will take a long time to figure out though, haha.

I did something like this about a week ago, but haven’t put it up yet. I definitely like yours better! Very pretty.

this is so cool! i think i’ve figured out how you did the pattern. i will try it, and if i fail, i will beg you for a pattern. i’m lucky in that we have warm winters (and unbearable summers), so this sort of top would work with a cardigan for the cooler evenings! i am excited!

Freaking awesome, where is the seam that binds the loop? Tell me please, I’we been loking at the top for 10min and have not found it. Great job!

The seam is with the bias tape. I can’t think of how to explain it, so I’ll try to add another picture that shows how it works!
