Mmmmm Caramel!

So it may be obvious by now with all these project uploads that my photographer has returned.
My camera weilding ex has finally visited after 8 weeks and while the kids were happy to see him, I was even happier cause now I can have piccies of my new projects!

Another treat from Tessuti’s and a very basic self made pattern..
The fabric was a gorgeous caramel ombre which I sliced and diced.
I used Perfect sew stabilizer which makes chiffon feel like well behaved organza and makes it so easy to cut and sew.

I was so happy that after about 25 years of sewing I finally managed a baby hem on my machine. Yippeeeeee. Its not perfect but it’s good enough for me.
I need to make a top to go with this .. oh, and get some anti static spray.

Material Notes

Ombre silk chiffon from Tessuti

Spring, Summer
Garment Type
Chiffon, Silk

This is really lovely. I love the layering and the colours and the floatiness of it. The sash tie finishes it off really nicely.

If you’re in a rush use hair spray.
