Men's 1971 Skinny Stretch Jeans

Added Sep 21, 2015

by SeamRacer

St. Louis, Misso...

These pants were made by me for my husband from a year 1971 Kwik-Sew pattern, in the not-so-well-known “Broomstick” style. The fabric is a wonderful cotton/poly stretch brown denim, sewn with white contrast stitching. There are subtle retro features to the pants: angular slant front pockets, a long 9 inch zipper fly, back welt pockets, shaping darts, and a wide waistband. The pattern was well designed and fun to make, as well as providing the perfect slim fit for my skinny guy! These turned out great — I’m itching to get around to my vintage jeans patterns-I’m sure your hubby is thrilled with them!

Oh, hubby is so thrilled with them – he wears them so often now, it’s such a compliment. I’m proud to make him well fitted pants for a fraction of the cost from stores – he, he, saving money by sewing is so fun! Thank you for the compliment – can’t wait to see yours…you should get around to that pattern…
