Megan's Baby Shower Quilt

Megan may actually read this before I give it to her… hmmm. I wonder how often she is on burda. Anyway, this is a soft flannel quilt top with minky on the back. I bought the fabric before they knew they were having a girl. she told me they were not going to find out the sex of the baby and were doing tans/creams for colors in the nursery—so I thought this would go just fine. i really disliked working with the minky—it stretches, it pills off (at least the white striped one did—the green dotted one not so much). But it is wonderfully soft and great for babies. Maybe I will make a stuffed toy to match? we will see… i hope they like it!!

Material Notes

flannel, cotton, minky, thread

Super cute! I love that woodland creatures fabric. I don’t know anyone who enjoys sewing with the minky stuff. I haven’t messed around with it yet…doesn’t sound user friendly. The finished quilt sure turned out great. Thanks for sharing!
