Medieval outfit : Cotte, surcot & coif

Castlerock, France

This summer, I attended a great medieval fair in Auvergne (Souvigny).
For the occasion, I sewed a complete outfit for me and my boyfriend…

because I was super motivated, we had two outfits: I present you the first, a red linen cotte and a surcot decorated with fur. To this was added a hood, a coif called crespinette and black velvet purse hanging from my belt

You can see the rest of this project in my studio..
That was a HUGE project but it was worth it because we had a lot of fun !

Very nice! Did you use the burda patter? I made one for my sister and she is very happy with it. You can see it in my studio. I had a lot of fun to make it.
