Long Wool Coat 12/2012 #104

This is my 8th project. It is based on the existing pattern on BurdaStyle: Long Wool Coat 12/2012 #104. I followed the instructions step-by-step, except I did not add piping, because I did not have it, and I was eager to go on with this project.
It was quite a challenge to make it, because I have never made anything with sleeves, vents and fully attached lining before. I had to make some extra research on the techniques for these, as the instructions from the pattern were not enough.
I really like this coat. By now I have been wearing it every day for more than a month.

Gosh, that looks really great on you. I think piping would make it a bit fussy, so best left off with all that button detail

This is a very good first attempt and it is so practical and warm looking for the winter ahead.
