Description

Here’s another one of the rugs I recently made, using the technique my great grandmother used – this one was made from my dad’s old polo shirts, and now sits perfectly between two red vevlvet armchairs in my living room.

It’s super comfy to walk or sit on and adds a certain intensity to the living space.

I wove this by hand from long strips made from the fabric of the old shirts. This one measures around 33 inches in diameter.

Very nice! Like the fact, that you used old shirts! Would like to make something like your rug, but unless it can be tumble-dried, I don’t think it’ll work. Have a angora-like cat. But again, wonderful rug! :-)

      Thanks!

You should be able to tumble dry it if you’re using old tshirts or bedlinen – I imagine that anything cottony would be hardy enough to survive. Good luck!
