Gratiot, Wiscons...

my daughter loves cinderella, and that is the only thing she wanted to be this year. the main dress was a pain to work with. the light blue was a dream in comparision. she has a crinoline under the dress. i made an error in my graduated measurements and made the whole thing her hip size round, so i didn’t connect the sides. that was a happy accident because in the toon, it is kind of flat in the front and the fullness is in the sides and back. i covered up the front pleats on accident with the light blue sides. all in all it turned out great and she wont trip on a dress that is too big.
i used mccall’s costume pattern 2856

What terrific luck you had with this dress. She looks just right (we will ignore the tongue ;) The larger size will give you room for warm clothing under the dress for Halloween. Unless the weather has drastically changed, Wisconsin is COLD at the end of October. Cordially, Nehmah

yes, it can get bitter. i don’t remember a halloween that was warm. even the least bit. i remember getting bundled up when i was a kid & trick or treating. not 1 thing has changed in 20 years for a halloween conversation, " so what are you suppose to be under there?" is as common as “trick or treat”!
thanks for the great comment, she still doesn’t like the wig!
