This is a leather jacket with draped front detail. The pattern is self drafted. I lined it with pink bemberg. the skirt is a simple gathered dirndl skirt made from some chiffon-y/georgette silk. I’m also wearing a top a made eons ago from one of the Japanese Drape Drape books.

    i just read your bio…have you really only been sewing for 2 years? That’s amazing and inspiring that you can go from zero to beautiful self drafted leather jacket in that time frame.

      Yeah its just a little over two years now… I definitely didn’t go about it the “right way” but instead plowed headlong into some of the more intense stuff. And I guess when I get passionate about something it gets to be a bit of an obsession! Anyway, thank you!

    I love it! I have a similar pattern for a cropped jacket from Salme patterns, I haven’t got the skills yet but now I really want to make it in leather!

      Oh you definitely should go for it! It was really lovely to work with – and though drafting the pattern myself was a bit of a challenge its do-able if you’ve drafted things yourself before – and if not this would be a really easy one to to alter an existing pattern.
