Description

A neoprene seven-paneled dress with a demure, v-shaped decolletage.
I guess my Spring 2016 collection has begun!
I have officially fallen in love with neoprene / “scuba” fabric.
Wish I had the courage to work with this fabric long time ago.
I want to make a lavender or magenta trench now! :D

Very cute! Is neoprene easy to work with? I haven’t tried to make anything with neoprene yet but I really want to try it!

Great question! I have searched a lot of clothing that is labeled as neoprene. It can be labeled as fabric that is 85% nylon / 15% elastane to 100% polyester to 90% polyester/ 10% spandex. With that said, I believe the fabric can vary. I do not know the details of the fabric I bought, BUT still, it was pretty simple to work with. It was definitely easier than some knits because it is much more stable, which means it is less likely to cause that “warped” effect when sewing curves/hems. If you can find it for a good price, I would definitely suggest to try it in every color you’d like! I love it!
