Wigan, United Ki...

Also a University project based around existing details on garments. I focused on a small plaited detail I found on a dress and expanded on that, literally…
I think i’d run away with the padding fairies for a little while but it was really fun to make and I was quite proud of the finished item!
You’ll have to excuse the exposure though i’m afraid!

Material Notes

An amazing stretchy Dark Teal short pile fabric with black PVC effect overprinted, so when the material stretches or relaxes you see more or less of the teal colour.

i think its creative and yes it shows alot of action from one of the GIRLS lol….but it is a STYLE /SEWING site and as long as you didn’t leave the whole boob out i think its fine …just be careful how you move lol….one false move and there she blows ….

honestly.. i love the fabric.. and the exoticness but.. i think that you could have done something a lil less exposing……. or this website isn’t use to a couture… avantgarde portrayal that you are showing…

I love the innovation… you raised a few eyebrows, that’s what being a designer is about. I love it!!

Well..you do have a little bit of boob showing there :P So I guess it might be the wrong outfit to wear to work.. and that way it’s uncool.

But I read it’s a school project so I guess that you had to think outside the box. I just have absolutely no idea how you: 1. made those “tubes”: the fabric, the colour..I just can’t undertstand! It seems alien sewing 2. posed out in the open! Courageous girl..I would have been cold and a little shy :)

I agree with camilaustral, it is okay to give moderately not nice comments, I think leslies comment was allright. Even though I don’t agree with her, everyone can express their points of view in a proper way. I think she might have been better understood if she would give a reason for her disapprovement. I think it’s more of a lifestyle question now, but otherwise if you don’t like something I think it’s more courteous to say what one could improve rather than just leaving someone to find out what’s wrong on their own. It’s NOT nice to say stuff like “she should eat more” or “you’re too fat to wear this” or I don’t know what other offensive stuff. About this creation, very well sewn han_kypanky! It’s not my style but I admire your skills and I like your concept, it looks very cool :)

Awesome concept- and the fabric is lush! As an artistic high fashion piece I think you’ve done really well :D

I didn’t realize this was a “G” rated website. If I had cable, I imagine I’d see just as much exposure as I would on prime time NBC. Anyway, very interesting, and thanks for sharing.

You worked hard on you creation. Your fabric was a tricky one. You did a good job. However, Children, tweens and teens look at this site. Please think about that when considering what to post here.

i think is ok that someone post “not 100% nice comments”, because she wasn’t rude or offensive at all (it could have been a lot uglier)

maybe the site needs more constructive critisism.

( i don’t want to be rude, but english is not my first language, sorry if it sounds mean)

I think it’s totally uncool to leave a comment saying it’s totally uncool! But you know you’ve got something completely original when you evoke that kind of response! I love the way the fabric changes where it’s padded.
