Description

This is the Lady Grey coat from Colette patterns. I followed Gertie’s sew-along which was excellent. This is the perfect lightweight coat for shopping or running around. I padstitched the color and lapels, interlined for warmth, made bound buttonholes, as well as someother new techniques for me. Please read about it on my blog ErikaMadeIt

Material Notes

Magenta wool crepe for the outer
purple printed rayon for the lining
I also interlined it, as well as used hair canvas throughout for shaping.

It looks great. The extra time and effort you put in to tailoring really paid off!

What a beauty!!! It looks amazing. I love the pattern, and will also do a follow-up sew-along in my own pace… Great to see the result.

Beautiful, that colour looks so amamzing on you! And I love your lining. I didn’t participate because it is the wrong season here for me but I have the pattern and I “followed” the sew-along, I can’t wait to try it next Winter. Great job, I feel so inspired, bring on winter :)
