Lady Flounce

I had this fabric in my stash for almost a year now… Just couldn’t find the perfect pattern to use it for.

This dress is based on McCall’s 5269 pattern (variation C). Had to do too much adjusting on this pattern as I have size 12-18 and had to shrink it down to something between an 8 and a 10 (I’m not that nicely proportional).

Wore it to a 25th wedding anniversary that the family attended. It was comfortable (over-all) except the armhole seems to have shrunk during washing (or I’m just imagining that it feels a bit snug).

I believe it would look really nice on somebody with a curvaceous body… I’m not curvaceous, but I like how it fits me comfortably…

Features: Princess line, flounce at the hem, front shoulder yoke, pleated sleeves

Material Notes

rose-patterned voile, invisible zip, hook&eye

Garment Type
Classic, Evening Wear, Romantic
Cotton, Other
