Description

Here’s my version of the Burda Jumpsuit.

So glad I made muslin for the bodice. The front center seems showed just a little bit too much of my assets. I extended the opening up 4 cms. A matured age gal needs a bit of modest coverage..
I used the muslin for underlining to give more structure around the midriff and back sections + lined the pant with a stretchy nude lining.

I used a Ponte fabric and pondered for some time as to what way to use the stripes. I did a few drawings on directions of stripes to see what worked best. I think worked well?

As usual I just finished my outfit on the day to wear to a friend’s birthday party. I’m gutted that the photos came out really grainy, so disappointing. :(

Material Notes

2mtrs ponte
11/2 nude lining
underling
Invisible zip

This is gorgeous ronnielee, I see you had the same problem as me with the bodice. It just shows to much lol.this is fabulous on you and what a great way you did the stripes. I want to make another but I will use the bodice front my halter dress as it fitted better x

Cheers Mary. I think anyone with a bit of boobies will have the same probs.. I’ll probably make another as well. I have some gold sparkly fabric, might work a treat.. Will say wearing a pantsuit ain’t that fun when you need to go toilet… xxx

Lol, I was the same with the toilet in mine.it took me that long getting them back up then fixing the front the lights went out! Then I couldn’t see to find the door lock lol.thankfully I have a torch on my phone.Kelsey is 22 with a small bust and had no problem with the bodice? In fact I took it in an inch, 1/2 an inch either side for her.I much prefer the other halter bodice I use.t The gold sparkle sounds fabulous. I was mulling over a few colours and thought of cream? Them the cream scuba fabric arrived at the same time as I saw augusts preview and I want it for a dress i saw in it.x

Beautiful! This is my favourite jumpsuit…The front center is definetely a problem so, after uploading my photos on Burdastyle, I added a little piece of black fabric right there. I had never thought of a striped version, it’s great!
