It's raining polka dots!

Tilburg, Netherl...

I’m a Mad Men fangirl… One day, I saw Joan wearing a square-ish cleavage, and it made it on my “to do list”.

I used the pattern of two dresses from the issue of May of burda. Top is 140 and bottom is 138. Both are plus size patterns: Yeay!

I also used an old 80’s fabric from my grand ma: white with yellow polka dots lined in black. She bought it to make herself a nightgown :s

I really didn’t expect it to work that well actually. I didn’t have to do ANY alteration at all and the fit is really nice.

On the pictures, I paired the dress with a black leather belt, which was a nice contrast, and with mini boots. It’s been soooo warm and humid for the past days, and it finally rained tonight, so I wanted to enjoy the rain! And the umbrella is back!

Such a cute dress! I didn’t see the potential of the pattern, but you made me like it! Love the more flared skirt together with the neckline! Your creations are always great, with the fabric and the pattern matching perfectly (and also the photos)!

Indeed, a straight skirt wouldn’t have looked good. I am considering doing the same pattern with a plain brown-rose thick fabric, and a sewn on belt made with old lace from my grand ma… That is what I think about right before falling asleep… See, I daydream about sewing when my boyfriend demands cuddles ;)

Cuuuuute!!!! You are so talented! I find that lots of plus-size clothing looks so unflattering but you make the most amazing creations that show off beautiful womanly curves! Bravo laurwyn!

I totally agree with you! After years of figuring out what looks good on me, I just twitch the clothing i make so it shows off the good, and hides the bad…

Wow, this looks amazing on you! I love the square neck look, it’s on my list too :) The polka dots are super cute, I love that they’re outlined. You don’t see that much these days.

Thank you! It is weirdly a very easy pattern, the one you’re done with with a couple of hours!
