Description

Pants and top
It’s been awhile Burdastylees. I have been making but not taking any snapshots of late, be warned backlog coming soon.

I had seen this cute top on Etsy but the asking price for the pattern was just that bit OTT. I decided to put my newbie patternmaking skills to work.
Vintage fabric used, possibly had been sold more for making curtains but what the hell, I can do what I want!

I’m still having a love affair with Palazzo Pants. My 4th version – new look 6900.

it looks fabulously retro and stylish! some of the wonderful prints/fabrics in my vintage collection i suspect were used for upholstery, but will look fabulous for some wearable garments that i intend to make! xx

OMG!! Ronnie Lee its gorge! I love it. You look so sensational. Girl you rock this photo shoot. I have vintage curtains that I thrifted and want to make a dress from it. You totally inspired me to do it. You are right do what you want with the fabric. That’s what makes sewing fun!! Awesome.

Great outfit! Love the fact the fabric did not end up being a curtain but these fabulous pants and top! Great job!

Yeah fabric was never meant to be made as curtains! I’m happy with my top but next time will just make plain, all the detail was lost in the loud print..Cheers

Great outfit. This print gives it a 1960’s vibe. I chuckled a little as I’m also using home dec fabric for a jacket.

Yeah fabric is definitely from 60s (sourced from a market) Can’t go wrong with a great print. Cheers

Cool summer outfit! Looks like a jumpsuit and is definetely more comfy! I think it wouldn’t make a nice curtain…

I know what jumpsuits are like – getting in and out, not so comfy. Not sure if really is curtain fabric but fabric is quite structured. Cheers
