After having made quite few clothes from Vogue patterns I was really disapointed /confused/annoyed with this one.

Firstly if you are planning on making these, get a different fly tutorial, The instructions were terrible and finishing off the crotch seam was impossible and I ended up having to slip stitch just under the fly.
It seamed there was no “forward planning” going on. Also coming to the elastic on the waist there is a stitching line right across one end which would make feeing the elastic in impossible.

Luckily I looked ahead on that one.

Comparing it to the photo, one of my tie’s is alot longer than the other , I may shorten it a bit.

Other than those three points the pattern was ok and I love the style.

Fabric I used was from my stash. Some Lisa Ho rayon (?). Super light weight, I think the zip weighed more than all the fabric put together. It feels so slinky and wasn’t actually that difficult to sew with.

Its slightly shiny with a lovely embossed rose pattern on it. Probably more for blouses but great for hot days. All used up but I have some flesh coloured exactly the same.

I’ll definitely be making another pair of these as soon as I move house and get my sewing machine back.

Material Notes

Lisa Ho embossed rose lightweight rayon.

Funny that I had that same problem with the Vogue patterns. Your pants came out perfect! Beautiful!!! I love the material as well, it`s perfect for that design since it`s so light and drapes so well (or at least it seems to be)!

I just made the jacket to this pattern. I love the style. Your pants are quite the most unique yet. I love them. Now I wanna do the pant.

In spite of your problems the finished pants look gorgeous!! I like your comment "it “seamed” there was no forward planning going on…" haha!
