Description

i bought this old cot sheet at a st vincent de paul charity shop for $1.50, lined it with the lining from an old dress, and used thread and elastic i already owned. when i bought the sheet i just thought it was cute, but a coworker of mine at the time got really excited when i wore it, telling me the fabric was holly hobbie and had been very popular when she was a kid. i also saw some of this fabric – unused – at a vintage fair for about $40 so i really got a bargain!
the skirt is very simple, elasticated waist. i sewed the sides together to form the only seam (at the back), joined the lining, and inserted the elastic. all done in an evening in front of the tv.
