Harem Doll

Vancouver, Washi...

This was a project that I did for a friend’s doll in exchange for a service…..she had an idea of what she wanted for her doll and color choices and then I ran with it. Major seams were done on the machine, but embroidered scrollwork details, tassels and beading were all done by hand (I made teeny little golden thread tassels that were no bigger than 3/8" each!)

Material Notes

Bra top, mini bolero, and “I Dream Of Jeannie” hat were made of silk organza…….and the remaining parts of the costume were made of silk chiffon. The doll that is modeling the outfit is 22 inches tall.

Garment Type
Bohemian, Ethnic, Other, Romantic
Chiffon, Organza, Silk

Thank you, bows! My husband is a photographer and one of his main subjects besides nature photography, is doll photography. He’s done articles for doll magazines on how to get the best shots of your dolls. He always strives to “keep it real”. I’m very blessed to have an “in house” photographer. And he’s such a sweetie because he tells me that my doll clothing inspires him to get the best shots possible.
