Description

Made a raglan sweater based on the raglan sequin sweater top pattern from the January 2017 issue of Burdastyle Magazine.
Made this sweater with grey knit fabric and contrasted it with a similar grey knit fabric that had gold glitter flecked over.
Changes made:
-Lengthened pattern by 1 1/2 inches
-cuff and hem are 6 inches strips of fabric fold to make 3 inches wide bands.
-traced the smallest size 36 and overlocked it together with a negative seam allowance of 1/4 inch.
-took in the sleeves and side seams by 1 inch. (this made the sleeves too fitted)
-made the mistake of cutting the neckband on the straight grainline. Neck bands and any other bands should be cut out on the cross grain. My mistake is evident by the neckband standing to attention when it should be flat and hugging the neckline.
-added the pocket pouch from the hoodie pattern of the same issue.

Material Notes

grey jersey knit fabric of minimal stretch.
