Greta's Gift

Wauwatosa, Wisco...

This little dress is for my niece Greta and is a size 5 little girls. The red bandana fabric is 100 percent cotton from fashionablefabrics.com. The solid blue fabric is linen and has been in my stash for a while. The dress is completely lined in the blue including the pockets. It tie’s in the back and no zippers or buttons are needed. I used french seams and hong kong seam finishes to make a clean look. I also used blue thread for topstitching the edges.

Material Notes

100 percent cotton fabric (red)

100 percent linen fabric (blue)

blue thread and red thread.

Garment Type

My grandmother for her patterns and teaching me to sew so many years ago. My Aunt Cindy for encouraging me to sew.

So adorable. I love the way the contrasted fabric bow looks in the back. And beautiful detail work as always!
