gray leaking knotted dress

Beograd, Serbia

been obsessed with burda’s knotted dress
from the first moment i saw it
but it took me a while to find the right fabric
really easy sewing project
especially if you own a serger..
it took me more time to trace the pattern
than to cut the fabric and finish the dress
although i don’t usually use same dress pattern more than once
this one may be an exception
because i would really really like to make this one in solid color too

Odlična haljina! I ja sam se oduševila čim sam je ugledala ali na žalost nemam ovo izdanje Burde…

Looks great really, and I agree as for long search for the right fabric for this project. The fabric makes the job and image:-)

So this dress can be worn in different ways? Is that right? It looks great and I can fully understand you want to have it in another fabric still.

yeah, it can be worn in two different ways, can be ‘knotted’ in front, and tied at the back (that way the v neck is a bit deeper), or just wrapped around front and tied at the back.. it can also be tied at the front in a bow, but with this fabric it doesn’t really look good (fabric is thick, so the bow is really bulky.. but with lighter fabric, that might work)

Beautifull! I love the knot on the front or on the back.

thanks.. i really loved the fabric, because it’s a mistake, it was supposed to look different, but this 1.5 meters that i got ended up messed up with leaks
